Intern Software Developer

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Intern Software Developer to join our team and gain hands-on experience working on real-world software projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to build their development skills, gain experience in a professional development environment, and work alongside an experienced senior developer. Roles & Responsibilities As an Intern Software Developer, your responsibilities will include: Maintaining existing systems and applications, including investigating and resolving bugs and technical issues. Handling development tickets and working through assigned tasks within agreed timelines. Debugging and troubleshooting issues reported by users or identified internally. Building and implementing new features on existing applications and systems. Assisting with improvements, updates and optimisations to existing functionality. Writing clean, maintainable and well-structured code. Testing new features and bug fixes to ensure they work as expected. Working with the senior developer to understand requirements and implement solutions. Participating in code reviews and receiving feedback to improve your development skills. Learning and working with the team's existing development tools, technologies and workflows. Assisting with general development tasks and contributing ideas where appropriate. Working Environment You will work closely with and be supervised and mentored by a Senior Software Developer. This means you will have the opportunity to learn from an experienced developer while gaining practical exposure to the software development lifecycle. You will be given tasks appropriate to your level of experience, with support and guidance available when needed. We’re looking for someone who is willing to learn, ask questions, take initiative and grow their technical skills. Internship Structure Duration: 3 months Monthly stipend: R10,000 Review: Performance will be reviewed at the end of each month. The internship may be reviewed and potentially extended after the initial 3-month period, depending on performance, business requirements and overall fit.
