Introduction We are looking for a Junior System Administrator to support and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability, security, performance, and reliability of systems across a multi-site environment. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure/Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, networking, endpoint management, and IT security. The role requires a technically capable individual who can troubleshoot infrastructure and user issues, manage access and permissions, monitor system health, and contribute to ongoing infrastructure improvements while working within ITIL, SLA, and change management frameworks. Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Manage users, identities, access, and security policies through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). Support Windows Server and Active Directory environments, including user accounts, permissions, group policies, and system administration. Provide infrastructure support across servers, workstations, networks, and enterprise applications. Troubleshoot networking issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, and VPN connectivity. Support endpoint management and security using Microsoft Intune. Assist with patch management, system upgrades, maintenance, migrations, and decommissioning. Monitor infrastructure health, system performance, alerts, and availability. Support backup monitoring and disaster recovery readiness. Assist with implementing security controls such as MFA, Conditional Access, access controls, and endpoint compliance. Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLA requirements. Participate in CAB, change management, and ITIL processes. Support IT security audits by providing evidence, addressing findings, and assisting with remediation activities. Work with internal teams and external service providers to resolve technical issues. Maintain accurate technical documentation, system records, and operational reports. Identify opportunities for infrastructure optimisation, automation, security improvements, and continuous improvement. Desired Experience & Qualification Minimum Requirements Diploma/Degree or relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Administration, or a related field. 2–3 years' experience in IT infrastructure, service desk, systems administration, or a related technical environment. Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra ID. Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration. Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, and VPN. Experience with endpoint management, preferably Microsoft Intune. Understanding of IT security, access management, patching, MFA, and Conditional Access. Experience working within ITIL, incident management, SLA, and change management processes. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities. Good technical documentation and communication skills.
