RESPONSIBILITIES Provide onsite, day-to-day development and technical support for an xBase-based application.Diagnose and resolve bugs, data issues, and performance problems in existing xBase code.Make enhancements and small-to-medium feature changes as requested by the client's business teams.Support accounting and finance end users, translating business / accounting requirements into application changes.Maintain data integrity across SQL / xBase data files, including backups, imports, and exports.Document code changes, known issues, and system behavior for continuity.Liaise with client stakeholders and our team on status, priorities, and escalations.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Professional software development experience (language-agnostic background acceptable).Willingness and aptitude to be trained in XbASE++ development.Working knowledge of, or strong interest in, accounting / financial concepts (GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, or similar).Comfortable working full-time onsite at the client location.Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently with legacy systems.Clear written and verbal communication for direct client interaction.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior hands-on experience with XbASE++, FoxPro, Visual FoxPro, or other xBase-family tools.Experience supporting or developing accounting / ERP software.Familiarity with SQL structures and related data migration / integration tools.Experience in a client-facing or embedded support role.
