Qualifications and experience required for the Junior Investment Administrator: A BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Investments 1–3 years of experience in the asset management space, preferably within an operational role Strong understanding of accounting principles Understanding financial instruments like fixed income, hedge funds, private markets and bonds Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, IF statements; macros) Key duties of the Junior Investment Administrator: Accurately process and settle various investment transactions, including trades, transfers, and payments. Maintain and update records of all transactions and client accounts to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance. Assist in resolving client inquiries related to transactions and account management with professionalism and efficiency. Prepare and distribute regular reports on transaction activities, account statuses, and other relevant metrics. Administer direct properties, off-market investments (e.g., reinsurance agreements), listed derivatives, cash reconciliations, and scrip clearances. Participate in change initiatives, projects, and system transitions by translating business requirements into workable processes and controls. Collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders to achieve shared goals. Actively participate in change initiatives and project delivery within the organisation. Continuously develop your expertise in professional, industry, and legislative knowledge areas.
