Overview : General Workers are responsible for supporting production and operational activities by assisting with packing, sorting, handling materials, maintaining good housekeeping, following safety and quality standards, and carrying out general duties as required to ensure efficient workflow and product integrity. Responsibilities: Assist with general production activities, including packing, sorting, handling and movement of materials or finished goods as required. Perform visual quality checks on products, packaging, date coding and seals, and report any defects or non-conformances to the relevant supervisor or quality representative. Pack, stack, count and palletize products according to required specifications, packing configurations and operational instructions. Safely move materials, pallets or finished goods using approved manual handling methods and equipment such as trolley jacks, where authorized. Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in work areas to support food safety, hygiene, operational efficiency and a safe working environment. Comply with all safety, hygiene, quality and operational procedures, including the correct use of PPE and immediate reporting of unsafe conditions or incidents. Support line changeovers, cleaning activities, basic operational tasks and other general duties as instructed by the supervisor to ensure continuity of production. Work effectively with operators, supervisors, quality and maintenance teams to resolve issues, maintain workflow and achieve production targets. Qualifications: Matric Grade 12 or NQF 4
